Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

What we collect

When you register, we store your email address and a bcrypt hash of your password - never the password itself. When you upload a target photo, we store the image on disk and the analysis results (shot positions, group statistics, pattern classification) in our database linked to your account.

How we use your data

Your data is used solely to provide the service - detecting bullet holes, computing group statistics, and showing you your shooting history. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.

AI Vision processing

If you click Retry with Claude Vision or Retry with Gemini Vision, your target image is sent to Anthropic or Google respectively for processing. This is opt-in and only happens when you explicitly trigger it. Please review Anthropic's privacy policy and Google's privacy policy for details on how they handle data.

Cookies & sessions

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in for up to 30 days. No tracking cookies, no analytics cookies, no third-party cookies.

Data retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. You can delete individual analyses from the result page. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us directly.

Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Session tokens are 64-character random hex strings stored in SQLite. Images are stored on the server filesystem and served only to authenticated owners.

Contact

Questions about this policy or requests to delete your data can be sent to the site administrator.
